CAST IRON CARE

Looking after your Katto cast iron cookware couldn't be simpler. Here are the only three things you need to do:

Wash your cast iron by hand (never the dishwasher) using warm water and regular dish soap.

Avoid using metal scrubbers or scouring brushes as they may scratch the pan.

For any stubborn stains, simmer a little water for 3-5 minutes, then use the scraper after the pan has cooled.

Dry your pan immediately after cleaning it with tea towel.

Don't worry if there is a small amount of black residue on your towel, it's just seasoning and is perfectly normal.

It's a good idea to rub a thin film of vegetable or sunflower oil into the surface of your pan after each use.

Use a paper towel to wipe the surface until no oil residue remains.
