Held at Moto's sake bar in Soho, we will begin with a hands-on knife sharpening masterclass, tutored by London's foremost sharpener - Rodrigo Batista of Togi Dai, and finish off the afternoon with a guided sake tasting led by Moto's lead sake educator.

Welcome to an immersive journey into Japanese ‘shokunin’ culture, where participants will experience the meticulous art of knife sharpening and savor the exquisite taste of Japanese sake.

In Japan, the "Shokunin Spirit (しょくにん)" is a deeply respected cultural value. It extends beyond craftsmanship and food production, influencing all aspects of Japanese life and work.

This workshop will feature renowned London-based knife sharpener, Rodrigo Batista, who will introduce participants to the cultural significance of knife sharpening and guide them through the process.

After the sharpening session, participants will enjoy a sake tasting, celebrating the completion of their work. Enjoy the delightful surprises of sake pairing with food, guided by Moto's lead sake educator.
