All of our knives - and pretty much everything else we sell - are handmade in our Sheffield workshop by our craftspeople Mike and Caroline.
The workshop sits at 47 Mowbray Street on the banks of the River Don overlooking Kelham Island. This area was once home to some of the best knife makers in the World and is currently undergoing a really exciting renaissance.
It’s also - side note - home to two of the best sandwich shops anywhere in the country: The Crusty Cob and Full Stop. Both offer filled rolls the size of hubcaps which once eaten are not soon forgotten (or digested).
By opening the workshop, building the team and bringing as much of our supply chain as possible to Sheffield we’re hoping to play a role in Sheffield’s resurgence as a manufacturing hub. Most notably - once our current supply of Japanese steel is exhausted - we hope to replace it with an even better, Sheffield-made alternative.
Achieving this will take time and a bit more growth; but as usual the team have a plan so watch this space.
