We are delighted to have partnered with London based charity The Felix Project to support the provision of surplus food to those in need.
The Felix Project rescues good, surplus food from the food industry that cannot be sold and would otherwise go to waste. This is high-quality and nutritious, including a high proportion of fresh fruit and vegetables, baked goods, salads, meat and fish. They collect or receive food from over 539 suppliers, including supermarkets, wholesalers, farms, restaurants and delis.
They then sort and then deliver this food to almost 1000 front-line charities, primary schools and holiday programmes in London. That way, food that would have gone to waste is reaching vulnerable people, homeless, people with mental health or those who simply cannot afford to buy regular, healthy food.
OUR WORK WITH THE FELIX PROJECT
PARTNERSHIPS
This year, we partnered with The Felix Project on their Restaurants Feed London campaign, which launches annually on World Hunger Day. For the length of the campaign, between 28th May until 31st July, joined the likes of Silo, Gymkhana, The Conduit and many more in donating £1 from each order (or bill) to the foundation. Every £100 collected brings 290 meals to a community in need, giving vital support to people in some of London’s most deprived neighbourhoods.
In 2023, the first year of the campaign, participants helped to provide 91,000 meals to Londoners. With double the restaurants involved this year, we couldn't be more excited to be a part of something huge - and alongside many of our friends in the industry nonetheless.

BLACK FRIDAY RAFFLE
For the past two years, we have run a charity raffle over the Black Friday weekend offering the chance for ticket purchasers to win a bundle of Katto products. This money has gone directly to The Felix Project each time. Here are our donation stats:
2022: £2,000 donated (8,410 meals)
2023: £5,500 donated (15,950 meals)
2024: Watch this space...
SITE VOLUNTEERING
We make sure to get the team along to volunteering days at The Felix Project sites as often as we can. We've done everything from warehouse work, distributing donated food into crates for delivery to local families, schools and community groups.
