Honing Rod

Our honing rod is handmade in Sheffield using local steel, sustainably sourced walnut and solid brass.

It is a perfect way to maintain your knives' edges between sharpenings.

Better still, the brass cap is forged to the exact same 12 degree angle as our knife blades. This means that - by lying the knife flat to the cap - you can effortlessly hone your knife to precisely the right angle.

We offer free next day delivery with all UK orders over £50. Place your order before 12pm Monday to Friday for same day dispatch. Orders placed after 12pm (or on weekends) will be dispatched on the next working day. Shipping costs £5 for orders under £50.

USA

Free express shipping (3 to 5 days) is included with all USA orders over £100.

EU / Rest of World

Express shipping to all other countries is charged at £25 per order.

Free 100 day Returns

You can return your order free of charge for 100 days after purchase. Just email customers@katto.shop to arrange this.

Amazing as Always

This is another stunningly beautiful, well made and quality honing rod. I love the quality and style and the 15 degree angled guard is genius! It's really helping me keep my knives razor sharp, my 3 piece knife kit is close to 6m old now, and still incredibly sharp, I love the quality and my Katto collection is continuing to grow! When you hone with the rod, it just feels right and you can feel the quality of both the blade and the rod working together! And your tutorials and videos are superb too!
